This past weekend I did a little “treasure” hunting at Goodwill, in search of some goodies I could use for DIY projects I have in mind to create. Luckily, I found a few items I could use, including a simple white plate that I made into a stylish trinket tray. It is not only pretty and chic; it only took ten minutes to make!
Supplies:
Krylon 18kt. Gold Leafing Pen
White Tray or Plate
Steps:
1. Purchase a white tray or plate. I bought mine at Goodwill. They have great prices on glasses, dishes, and everything you need for DIY projects.
2. Clean plate or tray with warm soapy water and dry completely.
3. I used a picture of leopard print and got to work. Be sure to follow the directions on the Gold Leafing Pen to make sure it works correctly especially if it is the first use of the pen.
4. When through let plate/tray dry for 30 minutes before you fill it with keys, change, or whatever you like.
5. Please note that this is not a serving tray or plate. It is not meant for food, but it is great for holding your accessories and keeping the counter clutter down.
