MONTH IN REVIEW: JULY

July 31, 2017

I love the long hours of daylight that fill the summer months, and this July the sunset did not disappoint.  Remember that new hiking trail I mentioned in last month’s review?  Well, it turns out from the top of the lemon grove trail is a pretty spectacular view.  On a clear day, you can see Mount Baldy in one direction and Catalina Island in the other.  I ventured up there a few times this month to capture the golden hour before the sun went down for the evening.
Life Updates
As I mention in last month’s review, I have a fond love for the 4th of July.  And, this year’s celebration did not disappoint with a family BBQ and fireworks at the local park.  Later in the month, Jeff started a new job.  He just finished his second week and is adjusting to the new work environment and having to wear a suit and tie to work every day.  While Jeff is handling a career change, I took a few opportunities this month to make two-day trips with my Mom.  A few weeks ago we went to SeaWorld and last week we visited the OC Fair.  I always have so much fun with my Mom!  Even though the month has been filled with a few changes, I must admit I am loving having weekends with my husband for the first time in the five months we have been married.

Love It

I love floral, colorful, whimsical prints, so last week I decided to do a Friday Favorites post on my favorite items from Rifle Paper Co.  You can read the post here.  I adore the attention to detail that Co-Founder Anna Bond puts into her creative designs.  She even has a line of fabrics which TheFoggy Dog an online retailer in San Francisco has used to create these very chic dog beds.  My favorite design is the limited edition Rosa Floral Dog Bed.
