MONTH IN REVIEW: MAY

May 31, 2017
This May was full of end of the school year activities, including my department’s musical production and an art gallery!  Needless to say, I am excited for summer break and a change in hectic pace.  As much as I love being a teacher, it is always nice to have a few months off to recharge, plan for the upcoming year, and best of all have a break from grading papers.

Life Updates

This month we celebrated my Becks’ ninth birthday!  I can’t believe he is nine already.  I still remember the day I adopted him from a Scottie rescue group up in Washington State.  He was a sickly pup, but with much love and care he has grown into a healthy, cuddly, and at times overly curious pup.  Jeff’s golf season at our high school ended earlier this month, and now he is gearing up for the busy summer hours at the country club where he works as a golf professional.  Last week I held my last art event of the school year, a gallery featuring works from our Fine and Digital Arts students.  The week prior, I directed our high school’s first musical!  I am so proud of my student’s hard work and dedication and best of all they performed three shows to sold out audiences.

Love It

One day while I was out running errands I came across these super cute glacier blue Nike cross-trainers.  Not only are they my favorite color but I am always on the lookout for stylish workout clothes and accessories.

Just like all of you I have my list of favorite blogs to read through daily.  Here are a few links to blog posts and articles I think are interesting and noteworthy to share.  Hope you all enjoy!
  •  I found this simple DIY project for making ‘My dog is home alone’ printable card to keep in your wallet.
  • I love everything about this simple and modern white bathroom makeover
  • The DIY Playbook had helpful tips for finding your personal design style.  Perfect for people like me who are often overwhelmed when it comes to decorating.
  • I can’t wait to start working on our hallway gallery wall, especially after reading this poston how to easily hand a large gallery wall.
