WEDDING REGISTRY EVENT

May 23, 2016
It has been a little less than two months since my sweetheart proposed to me (more on his proposal to come in a later post), and while we still do not have a wedding date decided upon, because of our busy schedules, we have started our wedding registry.

Our engagement under the Big A at Angels Stadium

I was never the type of girl to have her whole wedding planned out, truthfully, I find the task of wedding planning to be overwhelming, I have, however, dreamt of the day shopping for homegoods and decorating a home with my beau by my side.

After some Pinterest searching for the best places to register for wedding gifts, Jeff and I decided that Crate & Barrel would be one of our picks.  Fortunately, I work near their flagship store at South Coast Plaza, and after a little Internet searching I found out that they hold monthly Private Wedding Registry events.  I write “fortunately” since flagship stores have more merchandise to choose from.  Signing up for the event was easy on the store website, and I received a confirmation email detailing the evening immediately.

I ended up attending the event by myself, which I was initially apprehensive about (Jeff had to work late), but the sales associates made me feel at easy.  They walked me through the registration process, filled me in on tips for items we might consider adding to our list, and entertained all attendees with delicious appetizers and treats.

One thing worth note is that Crate & Barrel has made the actual process of registering very easy.  They have a free app available for download on the app store, and once you have signed in on the Crate & Barrel Registry app, you can use for IPhone as a scanning tool.  How simple is that?  Plus, we can go on the app at any time and work on our list from the comforts of home.  Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about the whole event and process of registering at Crate & Barrel.

While I could not add much to our list without Jeff by my side, I did come away with a plethora of information and a better understanding of what products we may need as a couple.

To cap off an enjoyable evening, each attendee was given a wonderful goody bag filled with two stemless wine glass and wine bottle bag.  I was also encouraged to come back to attend another Private Wedding Registry event.

I would love to know what your thoughts are on the dos and do not’s when it comes to registering.  Which items do you use every single day, and which ones have been sitting in storage?
