SIMPLE AND FRESH GUACAMOLE

May 29, 2019
This simple, fresh, and incredibly delicious guacamole recipe is super easy to make with only six ingredients and a few minutes of prep.  It is so good you may not even need the chips to eat it!  Put it on fresh toast as a spread, scoop it up with tortilla chips, or even serve it as a dip for your veggie platter.  Now that summer entertaining is upon us, this guacamole recipe is perfect for appetizers.
Serves 8
Ingredients:
4 Haas Avocados (or 2 Jumbo Haas Avocados)
2 Teaspoons Minced Garlic
¼ Cup Chopped Red Onion
2 Tablespoons Chopped Cilantro
2 Limes, Juiced
½ Teaspoon Sea Salt

Directions:
  1. Begin by prepping all of your ingredients except the avocado.  (Hint: I used a mini prep to chop the cilantro and red onion.  This helped to make a smoother guacamole.)
  2. Wash and cut the avocados open, removing the pit, and scoop the avocado out of the skin and place into a medium mixing bowl.
  3. Add remaining ingredients: garlic, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, and sea salt to bowl with avocado.
  4. Using a potato masher or avocado masher, mash together ingredients until the mixture is your desired chunkiness.
  5. Serve immediately.  Guacamole can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days.
