LIVING ROOM PLAN & INSPIRATION
I will admit that I am new to decorating, and it does not really come easily to me unless I find inspiration from others designs. Astetically I tend to be drawen to cozy and numeral. I think the easiest way to describe my style would be a mix of ecletic-modern-farmhouse-whimsical which can be hard to duplicate in our little 800 square foot condo.
After searching through countless living room designs on Pinterest, I came across Jessica Garvin of Garvin & Co. living room design. Needless to say I love her style! (You should check out her blog, she has the cutest family and her home is beautiful.

Doesn’t it look cozy? Great inspiration right? The perfect set-up for nights cuddled up with my sweetie and the pups watching a movie.
So, here is the gameplan. We still need to purchase a couch, a rug, and artwork for our frames to make a gallery wall. We already have an antique sideboard, which I found on Offer Up. In the sideboard we are currently storing our games, DVDs, candles, and linens. I changed out the knobes for something that matched my style a bit more. I bought these pendant pulls and knob pulls in dark oil rubbed bronze from MyKnob.com. I purchased a gently used Stocksund armchair originally from IKEA on the Letgo App half the price of a new armchair. We have had this armchair for a week already and it is so comfortable. It is also quickly becoming Beowulf’s favorite spot to sleep.
Our plan is to purchase the matching sofa in the same dark gray. The coffee table in my inspiration picture above was from West Elm, and although I love that store the $400 price tag was way out of my design budget, so I once again turned to the Offer Up App and found a similar coffee table for a fraction of the price. I am still deciding if I should disassemble it and spray paint the table legs black. What are your thoughts?
I have already the table top styled with a few items I already had including coaster, candle, plant, and to keep it all organized a wire basket from crate and barrel to capture the farmhouse look I love so much. Once Jeff and I purchase our sofa later this week I will post about the rest of our living room plan.
